So Much To Catch Up On....

So sorry it has taken me so long to update this thing!! We have been very busy!! Since the last post, Scott got home from his annual summer drill which was a week long...call me a baby, but a week without him was really hard!! The kids and I missed him so much!! I don't think we have spent more then a night apart since Leah was born! The kids and I did have fun together, though. Aunt Megan came in town and we went to the pool and had a Bachelorette Finale party!! Scott got home on Saturday morning at like 2am.

Grandma and Grandpa Ludlow had been out of town for like a month and hadn't seen the kids, so on saturday when Scott got home we went to their house in Colleyville and spent some much needed bonding time :) The kids absolutely love going to Grandma and Grandpa's house!! They have so many fun things for the kids to do...they have a golf cart to ride in (their neighborhood is a little bit country and they live on a cul-de-sac so they can go all around in that thing), they have a train track that runs right behind their house (Jackson's favorite), and they love the Wii!! Most of all they love spending time with their grandparents!!
Jackson, Leah and Grandma on their golfcart ride!! Good ole' Grandma
Leah got really dirty playing outside that day, so we gave her a bath in Grandma's tub but didn't bring pj's :) Here is Leah in one of Grandma's shirts all tied up...so cute!!
So, my good friend Ronda who I have known since 6th grade, was pregnant with her first baby and going to deliver at the hospital I work at. She was due August 11th and Scott and I were leaving for vacation on the 9th. Ronda had asked that I be her nurse when she was delivered, and of course I said yes :) The only catch was she had to deliver before we went out of town. I gave her some insider tips ;) What do you know on August 5th she went into labor!! I called work and asked if they needed extra help in night shift so I could come in and deliver her and it worked out!! Ronda did great and delivered a 6lbs 15oz baby girl named Brooklyn on August 6th!! So happy to be a part of that special moment, Love you Ronda!!
Pretty Baby Brooklyn!!

Look how pretty she looks after just having a baby!?!
Ronda and I after she delivered!!

Ok, so after all the excitement of Ronda delivering, we left for vacation on the 9th at like midnight, in hopes that the kiddos would sleep on the car ride to gulf shores. We rented a beach house with my sisters for 5 days RIGHT on the water. It was so much fun!! All we did was relax, let the kids play, eat and talk. The kids were AMAZING on the car ride. We brought a little portable dvd player and they watched movies and slept the entire way. It was about an 11hour drive and after stops we got to the house a little after noon. It was the PERFECT house!! The kids loved the sand and water, except when the salt water would get in their eyes:( There were quite a few jellyfish the first day and I think we all got our fair share of stings the first day...poor Scott got stung in the face!! After the first day they weren't so bad anymore. We went grocery shopping and cooked all of our food while we were there, except one meal, so it saved us ALOT of money. It was so perfect!!
Picture of the U.S.S. Alabama on the way to Gulf Shores...looked so much bigger in person

Scott, the kids and I stopped in New Orleans on the way home by oursleves to have some family time. We stopped at a train museum on the way there, because our boy is OBSESSED with trains!! He could hardly wait to get there!! This is him in front of the museum. That face is priceless!
This doesn't look near as impressive as it did in person, it is a $300,000 model train exhibit that was a replica of the 1960's...very cool in person
