Finally some house pics!!!

Master shower Scott refinished

Guest bedroom

Now that I am finally posting house pics, I realized I havent taken any of our bedroom yet, but my sheets are in the wash and I'm exhausted so I will post some tomorrow with pics of our completed bathroom as well. I will definitely have some updating to do tomorrow with pics of our sweet nephew Luke!!! Lisa, Janene and Luke came to visit on Wednesday and he wasn't even 2 weeks old yet! I love him so much! He is such a sweet, cute baby! It definitely makes me homesick to see him and to see Lisa as a mommy for the first time. I just wish I was closer to help her out and see him grow. I guess that's life and being here is what was meant for us and our family. We love it here, don't get me wrong, but missing stuff like this is hard. We had a wonderful visit with Scott's family, but it went to fast since I worked 2 of the nights they were here. Anyway, here are some of the house pics, enjoy! Den looking from the formal living area

Dining Room, this room started out with wall paper and was pretty ugly, I'm very pleased with how it turned out

The kids bathroom

Kitchen, again this room was kind of ugly, it was an awful orange-red.
Painting in kid's room, we love it, looks so good in there!

I ended up adding a few ore pics I found at the top of our bathroom and the guest room, sorry it's such a mess of a post. I'm going nite-nite now!!

Birthdays and Family Fun!!

Well, I am behind on my blog...again. Scott's mom, sister and our new nephew Luke (he's 1 1/2 weeks old) are coming to visit tomorrow (I can't wait!!!), so I figured I should get caught up on the blog with the visit from my sister's! Leah turned 3 on July 6th and I cannot believe how fast our babies are growing up! NJ, Mel and Steph got to come for the 4th of July weekend and to celebrate Leah's birthday and we had the best time. We got to go to a baseball game and see fireworks, relax and play at home, a trip to incredible pizza and some (kinda dangerous) fireworks of our own at home. Some people at work told us about a sprinkler park about 15minutes away from our house for the kids to play at. It was a fun little day, but WAY too many kids there on a weekend. I was a nervous wreck trying to keep track of the kids. Next time we will go on a weekday.

I thought this picture was so sweet of Leah and her daddy. She sure is a daddy's girl and I love it!
My sweet boy Jackson
Scott is finally done with our bathroom!!! These are a few pictures of him making some finishing touches, with the "help" of our children, a few weeks ago. Man is he relieved that project is over!
Jackson said he wanted to help Scott drill something but he ran out of the room first and came back with his tool set googles on, so cute! Safety first!
Successful drilling by the boys!!
Leah had to help Daddy with the bathroom since Jackson helped him, but she is a typical girl and got side tracked when she saw her reflection in the mirror. She made silly faces for at least 5 minutes! I had to refrain from posting all the pics I took.
This one is sweet! A little belly laugh :)

Here are the kids playing in the sink while they are supposed to be helping daddy. I loved Leah's little plumbers crack!
Leah was having a rough morning when my sister's were here, so what did her wonderful Aunt Stephie do to cheer her up?? Give her a giant chocolate cupcake after bathtime!! But it did the trick, see that smile on her face? Aunt's are the best
Leah being silly with Aunt Nj. This is at the most amazing chicken place in Memphis called Gus's Chicken. We had to take my sister's there and then we went to the Redbird's baseball game, they are a minor league team here in Memphis. It was a fun night!!
Awful picture of me, but pics of just the two of us are rare anymore, plus he looks so cute :)

Leah couldn't pass up her cotton candy...of course
Poor hot, sweaty baby!! Look at those cheeks!! Temp-wise Memphis isn't as hot as Dallas but it feels a million degrees hotter because of the humidity!! It's so gross!

This is my favorite pic of Jackson!! There is definitely a little bit of mommy in that boy.

Jackson after we dumped ice water in his hat...he loved it!
Jackson watching the fireworks after the game
We went to Incredible Pizza for Leah's birthday, any of you who know Leah know that her 3 loves in the world are her Daddy, Pinky the Pig and PIZZA!! So it made perfect sense to go to the Memphis equivalent of Gatti-Town for her birthday. This place was actually BETTER than Gatti-Town! They had race cars, a minature golf course and A COTTON CANDY MACHINE!! Another one of Leah's loves!! What a perfect birthday for a perfect little girl. Sorry about the pizza on the clothes and the hair in her face, she was a wild woman and there was no stopping this birthday girl!

I used the flash here so you couldn't tell how cool this little golf course was, it was all in black-light!
They even had an area to represent our home-town...good family photo-op!! We miss you Texas!!

Leah got her cotton candy as we were leaving and she was so happy!! You can see she is smiling just by looking at those eyes!

Leah had to grab one more piece of pizza for the ride home....I think this pic about sums up the day, her eyes are even a little crossed from all the sugar :)
So, we all had the bright idea to take out the slip-in-slide on the 4th of July and it only took a little peer-pressure on NJ and I's part to get Stephanie flying down that thing fully clothed! It was hilarious! We had her doing performances as she went to slide down and then we were all holding up score cards to rate her performance. Good, clean, kid-friendly fun!! That's why the kid's love Aunt Stephie...she is a kid just like them.
Steph on her first, not so graceful, slide

Jackson, getting a running start.....did I mention this was in our front yard so our neighbors could enjoy my sister's performance as well!

The Princess birthday cake I made for Leah this year, it looked better in person, the picture showed a lot more mistakes! Leah loved it and that's all that mattered! Although she was pretty traumatized to see her cinderella barbie get amputated at the knee by Aunt NJ to fit her in the birthday cake...

Birthday Girl!! Can't believe she is 3 years old!! We love you Leah! You make everyone around you so happy!!
My sister's got Leah a trunk of Disney princess dresses for her birthday and she loves them. It was hard for her to take them off. During naptime she said "I better take my dress off while I rest."
